No one who is in survival mode stops to tell a joke, draw a picture or sing a song. When we learn to self-regulate, we spend less and less time in readiness to defend, run away or hide. Over time, most of our time is spent in creation mode where the frontal cortex or The Wizard Brain wizard brain is in charge and magic is possible!
KIDS & TWEENS - Turning 6-15yo
The Restore Method Kids and Tweens workshops and Chill Out Sessions are fun and laid-back experiences that uses play and artistic expression to reveal how their bodies handle daily stresses and challenges. I combine the 5 elements of The Restore Method to create a joyous experience of self-discovery.
BODY: Creative sessions for personal insight into their unique Autonomic Nervous System responses. This is not a biology lesson but a creative exploration of how their bodies respond in primary and blended states. With this insight they will gain specific tools on how to navigate stress and anxiety with more ease.
ENERGY: Young people LOVE this element and getting to know their body's energy circuits. They learn how to check their body's energy polarity and how to correct it if in reverse and they take tools home to show their friends and families.
BREATH: The group learns simple breathing techniques they can use when they need it, most. I also check for reverse breathing and without pointing it out, regulate for the group.
GUIDED AWARENESS: Soothing Guided Awareness practices anchor the group in calm before we break for lunch.
CREATIVITY: When we know why, the 'how' gets easy. When the brain is relaxed, it wants to create. The Creativity element includes rehearsing the tools we learnt, claying, painting and/or creating from scratch.

Create & Fly!
A unique workshop of creative self-awareness and physical expression.
A polyvagal-informed Creative Immersion session for personal insight and creative expression of the landscapes of
their Autonomic Nervous Systems and their unique Ventral Vagal Anchor of Calm, Joy and Flow.
With the morning’s insight, they will be able to navigate their survival states (fight/flight/freeze and shutdown) with more ease and it will offer them adequate preparation for their afternoon on the silks should they feel nervous or uncertain.
Chantelle Rawlings from Elevate Aerial Academy takes the group on a journey of AcroYoga, Dance Hammock, and Aerial Yoga.
