Your body is a battery- charge it

Human bodies are like batteries and have North (positive magnetic) and South (negative magnetic) orientation. Keeping our North-South polarity running in the correct way is important as it influences our health to the cellular level. Energy Polarity is the art of balancing that life-energy orientation.


When walking on the earth, our heads are magnetically North and our feet are magnetically South. That is how Mother Earth 'grounds' us by 'pulling' us towards her. The typical human body have the negative pole in the lower part of the body below the neutral navel and the positive charge is the upper part of the body, or above the neutral navel.


When our polarity is flowing strong, and our negative charge of the battery is at the base of your spine where it should be, we are in a receptive or yin state, receiving energy from Mother Earth. A head with a positive charge is in output, giving energy to the universe.


Nervous System Regulation goes a lot deeper than just deep breaths and long walks. Our Autonomic Nervous System informs/controls our energy circuits and centres or chakras.

Living in survival mode or getting stuck in survival mode affects our first three energy chakras (root, sacral, solar plexus) which are the energy centres concerned with survival. When energy gets stuck here, there is less current running through the body and less of an electromagnetic field. In turn, this impairs or completely cuts off energy flow to the upper chakras which represent our selfless, altruistic nature, thoughts and emotions.


When our polarity is correct, in other words our heads are north and our feet are south, we have a good “ground” which means we are solidly connected to Mother Earth and we are “sucking up” fresh prana, chi, or life force energy. We feel calm and grounded, our energy levels and sleep are ideal. Our hormones and our outlook on life are balanced.


Some of the reasons our polarity flips include dehydration, stress, exposure to EMFs and depression. It often corrects itself after spending time barefoot on mother earth, resting, sleep or rehydration but if you find you feel stuck, generally negative and out of sorts and nothing seems to help, you can do specific practices to correct your energy flow.


A simple polarity correction using your hands and the polarities of your receptive, soothing and calming left side (or negative pole) and giving, supportive and output right side (positive pole) is to hold your head.

1. Hold together tightly the fingers of both hands for a solid flow of energy (so you don’t have splayed out fingers).

2. Hold the palm of your left hand against the forehead. Just gently.

3. Place your right hand on the base of your skull.

4. Take some deep breaths.

5. This is an effective way to balance energies and focus until you feel a register - that is, you feel the shift, like a sigh, a senses of calm, or warmth spread across your face and/or body. It's different for everyone.
